A Master Builder

During the Renaissance, Michelangelo and other architects were known as “Master Builders” – skilled artisans who not only designed buildings, but were also responsible for budgets, schedules, construction, furnishings and art.

Today’s commercial real estate and architecture marketplace requires the skills of a Master Builder. Corporate facilities are complex and intricate. Because architects have their hands full with the design effort, they cannot devote the time needed to oversee the entire project.

Like Renaissance architects, project managers are today’s Master Builders, responsible for managing the budget and all financial aspects of a project; the schedule, acquisition and use of resources; site selection; and design and construction. The Master Builder acquires or relocates furnishings, determines the plan for occupancy, and hires and manages the consultants, contractors and vendors required to complete the project.
